Advocacy, AI, and Evolution: The Future of T&I

The American Alliance of Professional Translators and Interpreters (AAPTI) 3rd Annual Interpreters and Translators Conference will focus on advocacy and promoting excellence, equity, and access in language access practices, as well as AI and its uses in translation and interpretation, both beneficial and detrimental. This conference day will include brand new medical and court continuing education units for the entire day of sessions. Stay tuned for course details.

We are interested in recruiting presenters who can provide interpreters and translators across all sectors (court, medical, education, community, conference) with specific knowledge, best practices, and tools to support best practices while providing language access. Please submit your proposal by Friday, September 5th, 2025.  

Each submission will be reviewed by AAPTI’s Conference Steering Committee. Selected presenters will be notified of acceptance by email on or before Friday, September 26th, 2025. Thank you for submitting a request to present at AAPTI’s 3rd Annual Interpreters and Translators Conference.

We have a particular interest in presentations in the following categories:

  • Skills Development - Beginners - Intermediate - Advanced
  • Artificial Intelligence, including Generative AI (boosting productivity, safe use, etc.)
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusive Language
  • Technology/CAT Tools (boosting productivity…)
  • Best Practices for T&I
  • Ethics for T&I
  • Self-Care for T&I        
  • Language Access Practices/Policies/Procedures
  • Culturally Responsive Practices for T&I
  • Other Topics for T&I's working in all settings

Presentation duration must be 1.5 (one and a half) hours.
